Rajasthan Prepares for Sixth National Chief Secretary Conference with Focus on Key Sectors

Jaipur, September 30: A meeting chaired by Chief Secretary V. Srinivasan was held at the government secretariat to discuss preparations for the upcoming Sixth National Chief Secretary Conference, scheduled for December. The meeting reviewed the state’s readiness and finalized five key objectives for Regular Session-1.

The Chief Secretary emphasized the need for effective collaboration among all relevant departments to ensure Rajasthan’s strong participation in the conference. Officials were instructed to complete preparations within the set timeline and to prepare information and presentations related to the proposed topics promptly.

Rajasthan’s Five Key Focus Areas

During the meeting, discussions were held regarding Rajasthan’s five priority sectors in alignment with the NITI Aayog’s vision for a developed India by 2047:

Renewable and Clean Energy
Tourism
Climate-Resilient Agriculture
Industrial Development
Horticulture-Based Agricultural Development

The meeting also addressed the state’s achievements, potential, and future action plans related to these sectors.

Rajasthan’s Economic Position in Numbers

According to the state’s Economic Review for 2025-26, Rajasthan has shown strong performance in these sectors. By December 2025, the state’s total installed electricity capacity is expected to reach 31,556 megawatts, with solar and wind energy contributing approximately 45 percent. The state’s integrated clean energy policy aims for a target of 125,000 megawatts of renewable energy capacity by 2029-30.

In tourism, the state welcomed 252.5 million domestic tourists in 2025. On the industrial front, investments worth around ₹8.01 lakh crore have commenced from the MOUs signed during the Rising Rajasthan Summit.

Topics for Discussion at the Conference

During the meeting, Satyendra Kumar, CEO of the Rajasthan Institute for Transformation and Innovation (RITI), provided insights into the proposed framework for the conference.

He noted that discussions are expected to cover state priorities in line with the developed India vision for 2047, the role of mining in enhancing states’ financial strength, accelerating linear infrastructure projects, and the use of technology in governance. Additionally, various important topics will be addressed in separate sessions.

The Chief Secretary urged that this year’s preparations be made more effective by considering the experiences and guidelines from last year’s National Chief Secretary Conference. Administrative secretaries and senior officials from all departments were present at the meeting.
