Abhishek Chaudhary Appointed as Rajasthan Youth Congress President

Jaipur, November 5: Abhishek Chaudhary has been appointed as the new President of the Rajasthan Youth Congress. The announcement was made on November 4 by Uday Bhanu Chib, the National President of the Indian Youth Congress. Anil Chopra has been designated as the Senior Vice President, while Rajkumar Parswal takes on the role of Vice President. All three appointments are effective immediately.

These positions were allocated based on the results of the organizational elections held earlier in October. Chaudhary received the highest number of votes for the President position, totaling 615,057. Anil Chopra followed with 545,638 votes, and Rajkumar Parswal secured 195,030 votes. Chaudhary surpassed Chopra by a margin of 69,419 votes, claiming approximately 45% of the total 1.356 million votes cast for the three candidates.

As per the established procedure, the top three candidates were to undergo interviews in Delhi, which led to this announcement being made about a month later.

Anil Chopra was the Congress candidate for the Jaipur Rural seat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. His election petition regarding that contest is currently pending in the Rajasthan High Court.

The announcement expressed confidence that all three officials will dedicate their time and energy to strengthening the organization and the party under the leadership of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, and Rahul Gandhi.
