Ajmer, October 4: The Panchayat elections in Ajmer district will take place in two phases. According to the State Election Commission‘s schedule for the 2026 Panchayati Raj elections, voting will occur across 10 Panchayat Samitis and 261 Gram Panchayats, with a total of 993 polling booths established. Voting for the District Council and Panchayat Committee members is set for October 23 and 29, while elections for the Panch and Sarpanch will be held on October 25 and 31.
This means that voting in Ajmer will conclude on October 31, covering the first two phases of the elections. However, the results for the District Council and Panchayat Committee members will be announced on November 20, as the commission has scheduled the counting for all phases on the same day. This creates a gap of nearly three weeks between voting and result declaration.
First Phase Includes Six, Second Phase Includes Five Panchayat Samitis
In the first phase, the Sarwad, Kekri, Sawar, Pisangan, and Srinagar Panchayat Samitis, along with one Gram Panchayat from Ajmer Rural, will participate. The second phase will include the remaining Gram Panchayats from Ajmer Rural, as well as Badlya, Silora, Araini, and Bhinay.
The first phase will see voting for District Council and Panchayat Committee members on October 23, and for Panch and Sarpanch on October 25.
