BJP Launches Youth Dialogue Initiative to Engage Gen-Z Voters

New Delhi, August 22: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has devised a strategy to connect directly with Gen-Z, targeting youth aged 14 to 25. The party will soon launch a special outreach program called ‘Youth Dialogue’ across the country. This initiative aims to understand the thoughts, issues, expectations, and priorities of young voters regarding their future.

To spearhead this campaign, the BJP has formed a dedicated team, including party president Nitin Naveen, national general secretary Smriti Irani, Vinod Tawde, Gujarat minister Harsh Sanghvi, and Chhattisgarh minister O.P. Choudhary, among other senior and young leaders.

Direct Engagement with Youth Aged 14 to 25
Under the ‘Youth Dialogue’ initiative, the BJP will focus on young individuals who are first-time voters or have recently engaged in the electoral process. The party plans to discuss education, employment, startups, technology, digital opportunities, skill development, social issues, and future economic prospects directly with the youth. The organization also aims to understand what the younger generation expects from political parties and the government.

First Meeting of the New 65-Member National Team
On Saturday, the first meeting of the newly formed 65-member national team took place at the BJP headquarters in Delhi, chaired by Nitin Naveen. The meeting addressed organizational strategies, youth outreach, Vande Mataram, and the party’s nationwide campaigns.

Nitin Naveen announced the new team on August 17, 209 days after becoming the BJP president. The team comprises 51 new faces, 13 national vice presidents, and 8 national general secretaries.

Representation from States with Upcoming Elections
The new national team includes 18 leaders from four states that will hold elections next year. This includes 8 from Uttar Pradesh, 4 from Uttarakhand, 4 from Gujarat, and 2 from Punjab. The party considers the electoral and social equations in these states crucial to its strategy.

Return of Smriti Irani and Ram Madhav
The return of Smriti Irani and Ram Madhav to the new national team has been a topic of discussion. Experienced leaders like Vasundhara Raje, Baijayant Panda, and Tirath Singh Rawat have also received significant responsibilities. Piyush Goyal remains the national treasurer, while B.L. Santosh continues as the organization secretary. Amit Malviya’s position in the BJP IT cell has been handed over to Deepak Mhaske.

Proposal Against Congress Regarding Vande Mataram
During the meeting, a proposal was passed criticizing the Congress Working Committee’s decision to sing only the first two stanzas of Vande Mataram at its events. The BJP asserted that the complete six stanzas of Vande Mataram symbolize India’s national consciousness and the legacy of the freedom movement. The party accused Congress of compromising the respect for the national anthem for political convenience or vote-bank politics.

Nationwide Campaign for Vande Mataram
Another proposal was passed to launch a campaign to spread the history and glorious heritage of Vande Mataram across the country. The BJP will promote this initiative through organizational programs and public events.

Discussion on ‘Modi@25’ Campaign
The meeting also covered the BJP’s nationwide ‘Modi@25’ campaign, celebrating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public life. The new national team will play an active role in the organization’s upcoming political and public relations campaigns.

Meeting with PM Modi
Nitin Naveen’s new national team will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the BJP headquarters on Saturday at 7 PM. This meeting marks the beginning of the party’s strategic planning concerning young voters, national issues, and the upcoming elections.
