BJP Strategizes for 2027 Elections Amidst Opposition Rally Plans

New Delhi, October 25: BJP National President Nitin Naveen held a crucial meeting at the party headquarters in Delhi on Sunday to strategize for the upcoming assembly elections in five states scheduled for early 2027. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also participated in this significant discussion, which included representatives from the party’s media and IT wings, along with officials from various states.

The primary focus of the meeting was on the elections in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Goa, Uttarakhand, and Manipur. The BJP aims to retain power in Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Uttarakhand, and Manipur while strengthening its position in Punjab, where the Aam Aadmi Party currently governs.

Opposition Rally Planned for November 1

It is believed that the meeting also addressed the opposition’s protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the controversies surrounding the Special Intensive Review (SIR) of voter lists. The Congress and other parties in the India Alliance have accused the SIR of irregularities and are demanding Kumar’s resignation. They have called for a rally at Ram Leela Maidan in Delhi on November 1 to press this demand. Prior to this, Amit Shah and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta reviewed law and order with senior officials at the Delhi Police Headquarters in preparation for the rally.

BJP Launches ‘Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy’ Campaign

In response to the opposition’s actions, the BJP has initiated a nationwide campaign titled ‘Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy.’ According to the party, the first phase of this campaign will run until November 5, followed by a second phase from November 11 to 30. The campaign aims to raise awareness about the SIR, the accuracy of voter lists, and constitutional processes.

As part of the campaign, the BJP plans to conduct foot marches at district headquarters, targeting participation from around 10,000 individuals at each location. Additionally, dialogue programs will be held in every assembly constituency, focusing on discussions with approximately 200 prominent citizens regarding issues related to the revision of voter lists.
