BJP Unveils Village Development Resolution for Panchayat Elections

Jaipur, October 11: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched its ‘Village Development Resolution’ for the upcoming Panchayat elections. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma unveiled the document at the new conference hall of the state BJP office on Sunday, coinciding with the inauguration of the hall itself.

“Our vision is to ensure that villagers do not need to travel to cities for basic amenities. We aim to develop rural areas on par with urban centers,” stated Chief Minister Sharma.

Sharma highlighted the increasing migration from villages, noting a decrease in rural populations. He pointed out that urban areas have expanded significantly, often requiring residents to walk several kilometers within cities. “If facilities are available in villages, residents will prefer to stay rather than travel 100-150 kilometers to cities,” he added.

The resolution emphasizes education and healthcare, specifying the distances for primary health centers and larger hospitals. Additionally, every gram panchayat will have sports fields to nurture local talent.

Key features of the resolution include:

  • Establishment of sports fields in every gram panchayat
  • Defined distances for primary health centers and larger hospitals
  • Creation of Atal Knowledge Centers in every gram panchayat, offering libraries, internet access, and online coaching
  • Introduction of Namonursery in each gram panchayat
  • Provision of essential services like roads, drainage, electricity, and water

Sharma stressed the importance of Atal Knowledge Centers, which will provide educational resources and coaching opportunities for students, reducing the need for them to travel to cities for education.

He also mentioned four significant water projects linked to inter-state agreements under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, addressing long-standing demands in Rajasthan. These projects include collaborations with Madhya Pradesh and Haryana, among others.

In terms of agricultural support, Sharma announced plans to increase the farmer honorarium from ₹9,000 to ₹12,000, benefiting both farmers and livestock owners.

The event also saw a minor incident when social media coordinator Hiren Kaushik slipped on stage while welcoming state organization secretary Ajay Kumar, surprising attendees.

Present at the event were BJP state president Madaan Rathore, organization secretary Ajay Kumar, and other key party officials. Prior to this, the BJP had dispatched 90 campaign vehicles for the Panchayat elections, with the Chief Minister outlining a roadmap for rural development during a dialogue with Panchayati Raj representatives on October 2.
