BJPs March in Jaipur Aims to Mobilize 10,000 Supporters on November 5

Jaipur, November 3: In response to allegations from the Congress regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will hold a foot march in Jaipur on November 5. Central Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will participate in this event, which aims to gather over 10,000 supporters. This march is part of the “Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy” campaign and marks the party’s first event in Jaipur.

Jaipur MP Manju Sharma, who is coordinating the event, will also join the march. She stated that the day will begin with a public meeting at Ramleela Maidan, where Ashwini Vaishnaw and other senior party leaders will address the crowd. Following this, a symbolic foot march will take place from Ramleela Maidan to Tripolia Gate, covering approximately 1.25 kilometers.

The first phase of the campaign runs from October 22 to November 5, making the Jaipur march the final event of this phase.

Manju Sharma Accuses Congress of Spreading Confusion

Manju Sharma accused the Congress party of spreading misleading information about the SIR, creating confusion among the public and questioning the electoral process. She emphasized that the special intensive revision of the voter list is crucial for protecting the rights of eligible voters and enhancing the list’s reliability. The BJP is conducting a nationwide campaign on this issue, with the Jaipur march being a significant part of it.

The party clarified that this event is not merely about gathering a crowd. Through the public meeting and foot march, the BJP intends to communicate its stance on the SIR and respond politically to Congress’s accusations.

Shortened Route Due to Diwali Shopping

The march’s route has been shortened in consideration of the Diwali shopping season. The markets within the walled city are currently bustling with activity, and a longer march could lead to traffic jams, disrupt local businesses, and hinder public movement. Therefore, the march will be confined to the area between Ramleela Maidan and Tripolia Gate, ensuring that the political message is conveyed without affecting the festive atmosphere.

Traffic police will implement Diwali traffic regulations starting November 6, closing several routes in the walled city from 6 PM. This means the march will take place just before these restrictions come into effect.

Responsibilities Assigned for Mobilizing Workers

Preparations for the march were discussed in a meeting held on October 29 at the BJP state office. Key figures present included Manju Sharma, state general secretary and Jaipur division in-charge Shrawan Singh Bagri, MLA Kalicharan Saraf, and campaign coordinator Ramlal Sharma, among others.

During the meeting, responsibilities were assigned for mobilizing workers at the assembly, division, and ward levels. Mandal presidents, councilors, and ward in-charges were instructed to bring supporters from their respective areas. Manju Sharma has been conducting regular meetings to review preparations and is in ongoing discussions with city representatives and organizational officials.
