C.P. Joshi Honors Anganwadi Workers at Angan Milan Seva Program in Nimbahera

Chittorgarh, September 29: The ‘Angan Milan Seva’ program was held in Nimbahera under the “Vikasit Bharat–Jan Seva Abhiyan” on Monday. Chittorgarh MP C.P. Joshi attended the event, honoring and recognizing the contributions of Anganwadi workers and helpers.

According to a banner at the venue, the event was organized by the Department of Women and Child Development on September 28, 2026, and commenced with the lighting of a lamp.

The Crucial Role of Anganwadi Workers

C.P. Joshi emphasized that Anganwadi workers and helpers play a vital role in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to women’s empowerment and public welfare. He stated that their services in maternal and child health, nutrition, and cultural education are foundational to a brighter future for society.

Joshi shared his experience on social media, stating, “Today in Nimbahera, I participated in the ‘Angan Milan Seva’ program under the ‘Vikasit Bharat–Jan Seva Abhiyan,’ publicly honoring and recognizing Anganwadi workers and helpers.”

The program also saw the presence of Nimbahera MLA and former UDH Minister Shrichand Kriplani, former MLA Ashok Navalakha, and Kamlesh Bunkar. Additionally, administrative officials, party leaders, elected representatives, and beneficiaries of various schemes were present at the event.

The event featured images of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister Daya Kumari, and Nimbahera MLA Shrichand Kriplani displayed on banners at the venue.

Status of Anganwadi Centers in the State

Rajasthan boasts a vast network of Anganwadi centers that provide nutrition and health services to children up to six years old, pregnant women, and nursing mothers. The state has approved 63,206 Anganwadi centers, with 63,064 currently operational. These centers employ 61,706 workers and 55,441 helpers.

Under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), approximately 2.764 million children, along with 289,000 pregnant women and 284,000 nursing mothers, benefit from nutritional services in the state.
