Jaipur, March 8 (Daily Udaipur) — A grand “Gaurav Sainani Rally”, a large gathering of ex-servicemen along with a medical camp, was organised in Churu on March 8, 2026 under the aegis of the Sapta Shakti Command of the Indian Army and hosted by the Ranbankura Division.

The event was held at SAI Stadium in Churu, where more than 10,000 ex-servicemen, Veer Naris, Veer Matas, and their Next of Kin (NoK) from all eight tehsils of the district participated with enthusiasm.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma attended the event as the Chief Guest. The programme was also attended by Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander of Sapta Shakti Command, Mrs. Barinder Jeet Kaur, Regional President of Sapta Shakti Awa, and Lieutenant General Shamsher Singh Virk, GOC of Chetak Corps, along with several distinguished civil dignitaries.
A strong presence of officials from the state and district civil administration highlighted the commitment of civil authorities towards the welfare of ex-servicemen. It also reinforced efforts to ensure timely access to their rights and a structured platform for dialogue.
The event featured cultural performances, adventure activities, combat skill demonstrations by military helicopters, displays of military equipment, and performances by the military pipe band. These activities showcased the rich traditions of the armed forces and the significant contribution of ex-servicemen to nation-building.
Several assistance counters and stalls were set up by record offices, banks, and government welfare agencies such as DIAV, AWPO, ECHS, and the District Sainik Board. These counters helped ex-servicemen with grievance redressal, document updates, pension-related queries, and information about employment opportunities.
For the first time, the Revenue Department also set up a stall at the rally, marking a special initiative during the event. In addition, a medical camp was organised where participants received comprehensive health check-ups and expert consultations.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma assured that the state government is working towards establishing an Integrated Sainik Welfare Complex, which will provide multiple facilities for soldiers, ex-servicemen, and their dependents at a single location.

The Army Commander also addressed the gathering and emphasised the commitment of Sapta Shakti Command to maintain continuous engagement, participation, empowerment, respect, and comprehensive care for ex-servicemen, Veer Naris, and Veer Matas.
