New Delhi, June 6: The founder of the Cockroach People’s Party (CJP), Abhijit Deepke, arrived in New Delhi from the United States on Saturday morning. His flight landed at Delhi Airport around 7:45 AM. After his arrival, he remained inside the airport premises for some time, and no official information was provided regarding the reasons for his delayed exit.
According to initial plans, Abhijit Deepke was expected to go directly to the Parliament Street Police Station to complete the necessary formalities for the proposed protest. However, later, the CJP claimed on the social media platform X that the Delhi Police had granted permission for the protest at Jantar Mantar. Following this, the party urged its supporters to head directly to Jantar Mantar.
This is reported to be the CJP’s first public demonstration. The party aims to address issues such as the NEET-UG paper leak and alleged irregularities in various competitive exams like CBSE, CUET, and SSC-GD, while also demanding transparency in the examination system.
The CJP is also calling for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The party alleges that recent controversies surrounding various exams have created a crisis of trust among students and candidates. They assert that concrete steps must be taken to make the examination system more transparent and accountable.
To ensure a peaceful demonstration, the party has issued guidelines for its supporters. They have been advised to participate in a disciplined manner, apply sunscreen for sun protection, bring snacks from home, and carry flags, flowers, and books.
The CJP emphasizes that the purpose of the protest is to democratically convey the voices of students and youth to the government. According to the party, the event at Jantar Mantar will serve as an awareness campaign on issues related to the education system and competitive exams.
Currently, security arrangements and administrative preparations for the protest are under close observation, with a large turnout of students and youth anticipated.
