Congress Leader Responds to Vishvendra Singhs Farewell Post Amidst Controversy

Jaipur, October 3: In a recent media interaction, Rajasthan Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra addressed the social media post by former minister Vishvendra Singh, who hinted at leaving the party. Dotasra stated that the party has not received any formal or written resignation from Singh. Therefore, it cannot be assumed that he has left Congress based solely on a social media post.

Vishvendra Singh himself clarified in a media conversation that he has not submitted an official resignation. He acknowledged writing about saying goodbye to Congress but emphasized that he has not handed in a formal resignation letter.

‘Vishvendra Singh is Like a Big Brother to Me’

Dotasra referred to Singh as a senior and respected leader within the party. He mentioned that if Singh has any grievances, the organization is open to discussing them. Dotasra has always regarded Singh as a big brother, recalling how Singh frequently visited him during his tenure as a minister.

According to Dotasra, before the recent controversy, Singh had not raised any personal objections regarding appointments or ticket distribution within the organization.

‘Social Media Posts Cannot Be Considered Resignations’

Dotasra asserted that the party cannot recognize a leader’s social media post as a formal resignation. Until a written letter or complaint is submitted through the official channels, Vishvendra Singh remains a member and respected colleague of Congress. He stated that upon receiving a written complaint, the leadership would consider it, and if necessary, the relevant organizational committee would also review the matter.

Clarification on District President Appointments

Dotasra explained that the recent appointments of district presidents were made following the established procedures of the Congress organization. However, he added that if any senior leader has genuine complaints regarding the process or organization, the party would address them.

Previously, Vishvendra Singh had raised concerns about the performance of local district presidents and the provincial leadership in the recent municipal elections in Bharatpur and Deeg, accusing them of neglecting long-standing party workers during ticket distribution. These allegations have been met with disagreement from the party leadership.

Allegations Related to Family Dismissed as ‘Toolkit’

Singh has also made accusations regarding selections and past recruitment issues related to Dotasra’s family and relatives. Dotasra dismissed these claims, stating that such issues have been raised by the BJP over the past two to two-and-a-half years and are part of their alleged ‘toolkit’.

He expressed that he does not wish to make personal comments against any individual. According to him, the opposition’s previously raised allegations are now being linked to internal disputes within Congress. The verification of these claims and counterclaims can only be conducted through relevant investigations or official records.

Controversy Escalates After Municipal Elections

This controversy began following the recent municipal elections when Vishvendra Singh questioned the Congress performance in Bharatpur-Deeg. The situation escalated to issues surrounding Dotasra’s working style and allegations related to past recruitment. Dotasra has stated that the differences have been exaggerated.

Currently, the situation remains that the provincial Congress has not received a written resignation from Vishvendra Singh, who has also confirmed that he has not submitted an official resignation.
