Jaipur, November 6: Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra has raised concerns regarding the BJP’s “Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy” campaign. He questioned Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on when protecting votes and raising voices for citizens’ rights became synonymous with anarchy. Dotasra emphasized that questioning the power of the vote is not a crime but a responsibility to safeguard democracy.

Dotasra pointed out that while the India alliance held a “Save Votes, Save Country” rally on November 1 in Delhi, the BJP expressed concerns for traders, claiming such events would harm them during the festive season. He noted that just a day before Dhanteras, the BJP is organizing marches nationwide and closing markets, yet the Chief Minister seems oblivious to traders’ troubles.

On November 5, the BJP conducted a march from New Gate to Tripolia Gate in Jaipur after a rally at Ramleela Maidan, attended by Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and the Chief Minister. The party shortened the route to accommodate the Diwali shopping crowd.

Dotasra criticized the BJP’s dual standards, stating that the current government has fostered an environment of chaos. He highlighted the rampant activities of sand mafia, the audacity of criminals, and the peak of corruption under the current regime. He expressed disbelief that even the government’s own leaders, officials, and employees are exposing the failures of this administration. He concluded that under the so-called “double-engine government,” every segment of society—be it common citizens, traders, or farmers—is suffering.
