Jaipur, November 4: Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore, a cabinet minister and MLA from Jhotevada, has urged citizens to prioritize indigenous products and shop from local vendors this Diwali. He stated, “Every small purchase we make can strengthen the local economy and contribute to building an Atmanirbhar Bharat.”

Before Diwali, Rathore visited the historic Johari Bazaar and Hawa Mahal area in Jaipur, where he bought clay lamps from local shopkeepers and interacted with traders and artisans. He also prayed at the Lakshmi-Narayan temple, wishing for the prosperity of the state.

Rathore emphasized that buying local products is not merely a transaction but a way to honor the skills, hard work, and livelihoods of artisans. He highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative encourages citizens to support local products, indigenous enterprises, and their craftsmen.

He described the vibrancy of markets, traditional handicrafts, and the dedication of artisans as vital components of Indian culture and the indigenous economy.

Rathore appealed to the public to support local artisans and small entrepreneurs, asserting that a robust local market is essential for strengthening Rajasthan’s economy. He believes that adopting local products and promoting indigenous enterprises will accelerate the vision of a developed Rajasthan through public participation.

He concluded by stating that the dream of a developed India can only be realized when every citizen plays a role in embracing local products and contributing to a self-reliant economy.
