The offer, which includes a full 15-month subscription to Gemini Advanced, also bundles in access to NotebookLM Plus, 2TB of cloud storage, and a suite of AI-powered features across Google Workspace.
A Strategic Response to OpenAI’s ChatGPT Plus Promotion
The announcement comes shortly after OpenAI’s limited-time offer of two months of free ChatGPT Plus to students in the US and Canada. Google’s response appears more robust in terms of duration and bundled features — but it’s limited exclusively to US-based college students.
According to Google’s dedicated Gemini student offer page, eligible students must register using a .edu email address to verify enrollment at a U.S. college or university.
