In a heartening announcement for the women of Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has declared an additional cash benefit under the popular Ladli Behna Yojana. On the occasion of Rakshabandhan, beneficiary women will receive an extra Rs 250 credited to their bank accounts next month, alongside their regular monthly installment.

The announcement was made during a government event held in Belkheda village, located about 40 km from Jabalpur district headquarters.
Extra Festive Gift for Women Beneficiaries
Speaking at the event, CM Yadav said that under the ongoing Ladli Behna Yojana, each eligible woman receives Rs 1,250 monthly. In addition to this, an extra Rs 250 will be credited as a festive gift (shagun) for Rakshabandhan, which falls on August 9, 2025.
This move aims to provide additional financial support to women during the festive period. The gesture reflects the government’s ongoing commitment to women’s empowerment and welfare.
June Installment Worth Rs 1,551.44 Crore Released
During the same program, the Chief Minister also transferred Rs 1,551.44 crore as the June installment of the scheme into the accounts of approximately 1.27 crore women beneficiaries across the state. According to officials, this marks the 25th installment since the scheme’s launch.
New Development Initiatives Announced
In addition to the festive bonus, CM Yadav announced several key development initiatives for the region:
-
A new government college to be established in Belkheda.
-
Construction of a Revenue Department office complex and residential quarters for its staff.
-
Inauguration and foundation stone laying for multiple rural development projects in the district.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the state government remains dedicated to advancing women’s empowerment and accelerating rural development efforts across Madhya Pradesh.
