Opposition Leader Demands Apology from CM Over Allegations Against Ashok Gehlot

Jaipur, November 3: Opposition Leader Tikaram Julie has called on Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma to apologize for the allegations made against former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. Julie reminded that in 2003, when Bhajanlal Sharma contested his first assembly election and his bail was forfeited, Gehlot had already served five terms as an MP and held the position of Union Minister three times, in addition to being the Chief Minister of Rajasthan.

Julie posted on X, stating, “Former CM Ashok Gehlot’s long public life has been impeccable and filled with ideals.”

“Allegations Reflect Frustration Over Officer’s Collusion”

Julie further noted that the false accusations made by the Chief Minister today indicate his frustration following allegations of collusion with his former Additional Chief Secretary. He asserted, “The Chief Minister’s statements today degrade the level of Rajasthan’s politics. He should apologize immediately for such remarks.”

Gehlot Demands Evidence, Dotasra Questions Silence

Previously, Gehlot challenged the Chief Minister to provide evidence for his claims or apologize within 24 hours. He also questioned why the investigation into the IAS Shikhar Agarwal case was not handed over to the CBI instead of the ACB. Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra raised the question of why the Chief Minister remained silent for three years if he possessed such serious evidence.

During a rally in Jodhpur, after a foot march in Gehlot’s assembly constituency of Sardarapura, the Chief Minister remarked, “I am the son of a farmer, and you are the son of a magician. Your fertilizer and seed shop used to exploit farmers.” He also accused Gehlot of selling fake fertilizers and seeds following a raid on his shop’s warehouse.
