Bhajanlal Sharma Criticizes Ashok Gehlot in Jodhpur Rally

Jodhpur, November 3: Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma launched a direct attack on former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot during a rally in Jodhpur on Tuesday. He stated, “I am the son of a farmer, while you are the son of a magician. You had a fertilizer and seed shop. You used to exploit farmers before, and you still talk about exploiting them today.” Sharma emphasized, “I am from Braj. I will respond to everything you say, leaving no stone unturned.”

Sharma was in Jodhpur as part of the BJP’s “Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy” campaign against the Congress. He began his march from Gehlot’s assembly constituency, Sardarapura, which proceeded from Gandhi Maidan to the Round Building. BJP leaders and workers joined in, chanting slogans.

“Your Warehouse Was Raided”

Sharma accused Gehlot of past misdeeds related to his fertilizer and seed shop, saying, “Your warehouse was raided. You made huge profits selling fake goods. You sold fake fertilizers at exorbitant prices. Farmers still have receipts showing how you billed them.” He claimed Gehlot did not care for farmers, as he had turned them into a source of income.

“What Does Your OSD Say?”

The Chief Minister raised questions about the Gehlot government’s actions, asking, “What did your brother do? Do you want to hear it from me? I am ready to tell you what your OSD says. What did you do with your opponents? You know how you appointed members to the RPSC for money and what chaos ensued.”

He further questioned, “Why is your PSO going to jail? He claimed to have links with cheating mafias, directly connected to your CMO. Who is Shashikant? You should explain that. Who was Rajkumar Yadav?” Sharma continued, “There is a long list, and if I start naming them, the ground will slip from under your feet.”

Sharma noted that while the people of Jodhpur repeatedly elected Gehlot, he prioritized his relatives and family over the welfare of the city. Referring to the Jal Jeevan Mission, he mentioned that ministers from Gehlot’s government are now in jail, along with officials. “Now, when you comment on an official, remember they were also there during your time. What were they doing then?”

“Congress Will Face Consequences for Dynastic Politics”

Targeting Congress, Sharma stated, “You engage in family, corruption, and appeasement politics. If you listen to their language, you’ll realize there’s no place for it in democracy. They are rattled. As long as Congress continues with dynastic politics, it will face dire consequences.” He remarked that Congress has lost touch with the public and added, “I have a lot of affection for Ashok Gehlot. He is not in control within Congress.”

Sharma assured that the government would fulfill every promise made in its manifesto and create over 400,000 jobs.

Gehlot’s Advice on Keeping Relatives at Bay

Sharma’s remarks came in response to Gehlot’s recent statement, where Gehlot advised him to work inclusively, create an environment where corruption is unthinkable, and keep relatives at a distance. Gehlot claimed, “If you had listened to me, it would have been better. Now, names of your relatives are surfacing.”

Gehlot alleged that a relative of Sharma, Pramod Sharma, is wanted by police but is seen roaming in Jaipur. He stated that Pramod was caught during Gehlot’s tenure, but his case was closed just before Sharma took office. Gehlot concluded, “Forget about reopening cases; new ones are emerging.”
