New Delhi – A big update is coming for over 12 crore farmers across India. Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the Central Government is preparing to release the 20th installment of ₹2,000 per eligible farmer in the first week of July, likely by July 7. This will mark the continuation of financial support for small and marginal farmers, helping them ahead of the sowing season.

While the government has not yet officially confirmed the exact date, sources indicate that preparations for the installment disbursal are nearly complete.
Only Eligible Farmers Will Receive the Payment
So far, 19 installments have been successfully credited to farmers’ bank accounts under the PM Kisan scheme. However, only those farmers who have completed the e-KYC (electronic Know Your Customer) process and land record verification will receive the upcoming installment.
Farmers who fail to complete these formalities may face delays or rejection of payment.
Common Mistakes That Delay PM Kisan Payment
Several farmers have previously missed out on PM Kisan installments due to avoidable mistakes. The most common reasons include:
-
Incorrect Aadhaar or bank account details
-
Bank account not linked to Aadhaar
-
Mismatch in name spelling between land records and bank documents
Farmers are advised to cross-verify their registration details, especially Aadhaar and bank account numbers, to ensure smooth payment.
Why e-KYC Is Mandatory
The Central Government has made it clear that e-KYC is compulsory for receiving PM Kisan benefits. Farmers who haven’t completed their e-KYC will not receive the ₹2,000 installment.
There are two ways to complete e-KYC:
-
Online through OTP:
-
Visit the PM Kisan official website
-
Click on eKYC
-
Enter Aadhaar number and captcha
-
Submit the OTP received on the registered mobile number
-
-
Offline at CSC Centers:
-
Visit the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) with Aadhaar card for biometric verification
-
Land Record Verification Also Crucial
Even after successful e-KYC and correct bank details, incorrect or mismatched land records can result in the payment being withheld. Farmers should ensure that:
-
Their name in land records matches their Aadhaar and bank records
-
There are no spelling errors or missing information
If discrepancies are found, farmers should contact their local tehsil office or agriculture department immediately to update the records.
How to Check Your PM Kisan Status
To verify if your installment has been processed or is pending:
-
Go to pmkisan.gov.in
-
Click on “Beneficiary Status” under the “Farmers Corner”
-
Enter your Aadhaar, mobile number, or bank account number
-
View the status of your previous and upcoming installments
With the monsoon season arriving and the kharif sowing period underway, this upcoming ₹2,000 installment will be a timely financial boost for millions of farmers.
