
Chittorgarh, March 16: The police of the Dungla station in Chittorgarh have successfully apprehended a notorious drug trafficker who had been evading capture for over a year and a half. This operation was part of the ongoing “Operation Trinetra.”
Superintendent of Police Manish Tripathi stated that, under the directives of Udaipur Range Inspector General Gaurav Srivastava, a special campaign is underway to arrest wanted criminals. In this context, the Dungla police managed to capture the fugitive.
On August 22, 2024, during a patrol, police seized over 80 kilograms of illegal poppy husk from an Alto car. Investigations revealed that the accused, Bhairulal, son of Ghisalal Kumawat, a resident of Narayani in the Chhoti Sadri district of Pratapgarh, had been on the run for a considerable time.
Under the guidance of ASP Sarita Singh and supervision of DSP Badisadri Deshraj Kuldeep, a police team led by Station Officer Shaitan Singh executed the operation and arrested the accused. A reward of ₹5,000 had been announced by the Superintendent of Police for information leading to the arrest.
The police have urged citizens to report any information regarding drug trafficking or suspicious activities immediately.
