Temperatures Drop by Up to 5°C

The shift in weather has resulted in a decline of nearly 5 degrees Celsius in both maximum and minimum temperatures. The cooler conditions brought by the storm have eased the discomfort that had gripped the region, particularly after several days of rising heat levels that had pushed temperatures close to 40°C.

IMD Had Issued Yellow Alert for 24 Districts

The INDIA Meteorological Department (IMD) had already forecast this change, issuing a Yellow Alert for 24 districts of Bihar, including Araria, from April 10 to 13. The alert warned of thunderstorms, lightning, and possible hailstorms, urging people to remain cautious during this period.

According to the IMD, the change in weather is a result of:

Low pressure system in the Bay of Bengal
Western disturbances moving through North India
A trough line extending from southeast Uttar Pradesh to Bangladesh through North Bihar, which has intensified rain conditions across the region.
