Celebrating 75 Years: Amrit Mahotsav Events

The Rajasthan Assembly is currently celebrating its 75th year, known as the Amrit Mahotsav. In this context, a ‘Legislative Glory Journey Gathering’ was held on July 15, 2026, featuring both former and current members. This was a historic event, attended by Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, who addressed the assembly.

Devnani also briefed the President on the Assembly’s 75-year journey and the innovations introduced in the past two years. He noted that India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee have both addressed the Rajasthan Assembly. President Murmu herself addressed the Assembly on July 14, 2023, a speech that remains deeply etched in the collective memory of the Assembly.

New Assembly Logo Features Local Symbols

Devnani announced that for the first time since its establishment, all gates of the Assembly have been named, and a new emblem has been unveiled. This logo features the Ashoka emblem, the national flag, and the Assembly building, alongside the state animal (camel), state bird (great Indian bustard), and state tree (khejri). Additionally, it includes a rice ear and the Sanskrit motto ‘Rashtraya Dharmanishta Vidhanika’.
