Rajasthan Minister Criticizes Congress Over Delhi Visits and Development Projects

Jaipur, April 10: Political tensions are rising in Rajasthan regarding Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma‘s visits to Delhi. Home Minister Jawahar Singh Bedham has targeted the Congress party, asserting that the Chief Minister travels to the capital to expedite development projects and seek cooperation from the central government, unlike during the Congress administration.

Bedham stated that Congress leaders question the necessity of the Chief Minister’s trips to Delhi. However, he emphasized that the current government is coordinating with the center for the state’s development. He sarcastically remarked that former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot‘s visits were akin to “recharge coupons”—the government operated for as long as it received support, necessitating further trips to Delhi.

Citing a recent three-hour visit, Bedham highlighted that Rajasthan secured approvals for several crucial projects, including a refinery and Metro Phase-2. Despite these achievements, he criticized Congress leaders for failing to acknowledge the progress and avoiding self-reflection.

Bedham also launched a sharp attack on Congress regarding the refinery project, accusing the previous government of hindering its progress. He expressed gratitude towards the Prime Minister for approving an increase in the project’s budget, with the first phase set to launch on April 21.
