Rajasthan Youth Congress Faces Suspension of 43 Officials for Missing Rally

Jaipur, November 5: The absence of 43 officials from the Rajasthan Youth Congress at a rally in Delhi has led to their suspension. The Indian Youth Congress has taken immediate action, suspending these officials until further notice. This group includes 12 district presidents and 31 state-level officers, comprising one vice president, ten general secretaries, and twenty state secretaries.

The suspension order, issued on November 5, cites the serious nature of their absence from the ‘Ram Leela March’ held in Delhi. The leadership of the organization made this decision after evaluating the situation. The order was signed by Vikas Chikara, the national general secretary and Rajasthan in-charge, along with secretary and co-in-charge Gyanesh Shukla. This decision came just a day after the announcement of a new team for the Rajasthan Youth Congress, which appointed Abhishek Chaudhary as the state president on November 4.

The rally, titled ‘Vote Bachao, Desh Bachao,’ took place on November 1 at Delhi’s Ram Leela Maidan, featuring prominent opposition leaders such as Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge. The Youth Congress had tasked all its officials with bringing crowds to the event, yet these 43 officials failed to attend. The organization prepared a complete report based on the attendance of those who brought crowds, leading to this disciplinary action.

The suspended officials are from 26 organizational district units. The highest number of suspensions, four, came from Jodhpur Rural, which included two general secretaries and two state secretaries. Additionally, three officials were suspended from Jalore, Ajmer, and Baran, meaning that in these districts, both the district president and two state officials faced suspension.
