Ajmer, April 16 The RAJASTHAN Public Service Commission (RPSC) has revised the schedule for the General Knowledge (Paper III) exam for the PTI and Librarian Competitive Recruitment 2025. Originally slated for May 4, the exam will now be conducted on May 3 to avoid a scheduling conflict with the NEET UG 2025 exam.

Why the Reschedule?
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET UG on May 4, the same date RPSC had scheduled the third paper (General Knowledge) of the PTI and Librarian recruitment. Recognizing a logistical conflict due to shared examination centers — especially as NEET is now being conducted in government institutions instead of private schools — RPSC decided to reschedule to ensure adequate availability of exam centers.
Updated Exam Schedule
According to the revised schedule issued by the Commission:
-
General Knowledge (Paper III) for both PTI and Librarian candidates will now be held on
May 3, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. -
Librarian Exams on May 5:
-
Paper I: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
-
Paper II: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM
-
-
PTI Exams on May 6:
-
Paper I: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
-
Paper II: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM
-
The RPSC has assured candidates that admit cards will be released in due course.
Context and Clarification
RPSC sources emphasized that the Commission’s exams are recruitment-based while NEET UG is an entrance test for class 12 students. Under normal circumstances, both exams could have taken place simultaneously. However, with government institutions being requisitioned as NEET centers this year, RPSC faced a shortage of venues, prompting this decision.
This proactive move by RPSC ensures a smoother process for aspirants of both prestigious examinations without logistical hurdles.
