Chittorgarh, April 4: In accordance with directives from the Agriculture Commissioner’s office, a one-day special quality control campaign was launched on Saturday to prevent the non-agricultural use of urea in the district.
Teams of inspectors were formed at the district level to carry out extensive actions. These teams conducted surprise inspections in various industrial units, including the RIICO Industrial Area in Chittorgarh and Nimbahera.
During the inspections, the plywood industry, paint industry, animal feed manufacturing units, various sorting units, and fertilizer vendor firms were thoroughly examined. Fertilizer inspectors checked the storage, sale, and use of urea to ensure compliance with regulations.
Officials clarified that the use of urea designated for agricultural purposes in other activities is strictly prohibited. Any irregularities found in this regard will lead to stringent action against the offenders as per the regulations.
During the campaign, necessary guidelines were provided to the concerned units, and instructions were given to ensure full compliance with the rules in the future.
