Mumbai, April 4: A four-story hotel in Anuppur district, Madhya Pradesh, has collapsed, resulting in one confirmed death and fears that several others may be trapped beneath the rubble. Emergency responders arrived promptly at the scene and initiated a rescue operation.
Reports indicate that approximately six individuals might be trapped under the debris. A police officer stated that cranes are being utilized to remove the rubble. The incident occurred around 5:30 PM.
Nearby, construction work was ongoing, which has raised concerns among locals. Authorities have reported that a new building was being constructed on a plot adjacent to the hotel, following the demolition of an older structure. Witnesses suspect that the excavation for this new building may have contributed to the hotel’s collapse.
Local police and administrative officials have mobilized to the site to assist with rescue efforts. The situation remains critical as teams work to locate and rescue any individuals who may still be trapped.
