
Udaipur, March 19: In a bid to combat the black market and illegal refilling of domestic and commercial gas cylinders, District Collector Namit Mehta has established vigilance teams across various tehsils. These teams include tehsildars, police inspectors, enforcement officers, and sales representatives from oil companies.
On Wednesday, under the direction of District Supply Officer Manish Bhatnagar, officials Manali Bhatt and Deepika Rot conducted an operation at Adinath Enterprises in Kherwara, following reports of illegal storage and refilling of gas cylinders. During the operation, nine domestic gas cylinders and equipment used for gas transfer were seized.
Naib Tehsildar Ramesh Meena was present during the operation. The District Supply Officer stated that such actions will continue in the coming days. Any information regarding illegal activities can be reported to the control room at the district collectorate, relevant enforcement officers, or the district supply officer. Action is being taken under the Essential Commodities Act of 1955.
