Udaipur, March 19:
A meeting was held to discuss preparations for the ambitious Harialo Rajasthan Campaign 2026-27 at the district collectorate auditorium. District Collector Namit Mehta led the meeting, which was attended by District Council CEO Riya Dabi.
During the meeting, strategies for this year’s planting campaign were discussed in detail. Responsibilities were assigned to various departments, and coordination for achieving the target was emphasized. The state government has set an ambitious goal of planting over 5.7 million saplings in the district this year. Officials were instructed to ensure timely and quality completion of these targets.
The meeting also reviewed the activities undertaken during last year’s campaign, where Udaipur district excelled, securing the second position at the state level. CEO Dabi urged all departments to work collaboratively to maintain this achievement and aim for the top position this year.
Under the Collector’s guidance, officials were directed to identify suitable planting locations, ensure land availability, and complete necessary preparations in March. This will facilitate effective planting during the monsoon season. The meeting included participation from Deputy Conservator Mukesh Saini, Deputy Conservator of Wildlife Yadavendra Singh Chundawat, and various district-level officials from different departments.
