Weather Changes in Jharkhand: Light Rain Brings Temperature Drop

Ranchi, February 20 Jharkhand witnessed a significant change in weather conditions on Thursday morning, with light rainfall recorded across several districts, including Ranchi. The showers brought a welcome relief from rising temperatures, making the weather pleasant and refreshing.

According to the INDIA Meteorological Department (IMD), Ranchi experienced a notable temperature drop, with the morning temperature recorded at 23°C, compared to 29.8°C on Wednesday—a decline of nearly six degrees Celsius. While the early hours saw overcast skies and drizzle, the weather cleared later, allowing sunshine to return.

Yellow Alert Issued for Thunderstorms and Hailstorm

The Meteorological Department had earlier issued a yellow alert for Thursday and Saturday, warning of thunderstorms, hailstorms, and lightning across several districts in southern, eastern, central, and western Jharkhand.

Residents are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions, especially in areas prone to severe weather disturbances. As the state experiences dynamic weather shifts, further updates from IMD are expected in the coming days.
