Jaipur, February 5: The influence of Western Disturbance has led to cloudy skies and light rainfall across RAJASTHAN, causing a noticeable dip in temperatures. Several districts, including Jodhpur, Dholpur, Baran, and Sirohi, recorded a drop of up to 2°C in maximum daytime temperatures on Tuesday. Weather experts predict a further temperature decline of up to 3°C in the next 2-3 days, intensifying the cold conditions, especially during mornings and evenings.

Cloudy Skies and Drizzle Bring Respite from Dry Weather
Over the past 24 hours, cloud cover persisted over Jaipur, Ajmer, and Bharatpur divisions, with intermittent light rainfall recorded in Ajmer, Dholpur, Dausa, and Sikar. The maximum temperature across all major cities in Rajasthan remained below 30°C, making the daytime noticeably cooler, with chilly winds prevailing throughout the state.
According to the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, light showers were reported in multiple locations on Tuesday, with Chittorgarh recording the highest maximum temperature at 29.5°C. Meanwhile, humidity levels across the state ranged between 20% and 70%. The weather department has forecast light rain in some parts of Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions on Wednesday, while the rest of the state is expected to remain dry. Both maximum and minimum temperatures are predicted to drop by 2-4°C over the next few days.

Weather Forecast: More Rain Expected After a Brief Break
The Meteorological Department has predicted that on Wednesday, light showers may continue in parts of northern and eastern Rajasthan, with thunderstorm warnings issued for isolated locations.
However, February 6 and 7 are expected to be clear and dry, with dense fog warnings (Yellow Alert) issued for the plains. A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to become active from February 8 to 11, bringing another round of snowfall in the higher elevations and rainfall in other parts of the state.
