Beijing, February 28: The fifth issue of Choshi, a magazine sponsored by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, is set to be published on March 1. This edition will feature a significant article by General Secretary of the CPC, President of China, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, Xi Jinping. The article is titled “Let the Willingness to Take Responsibility, Courage, and Competence Become a Common Trend.”
This piece includes key statements made by General Secretary Xi from December 2012 to December 2025.
The article emphasizes that hard work is essential for nation-building, while empty rhetoric can be detrimental. To transform the grand plans outlined in the CPC’s 20th National Congress into a beautiful reality, commitment and active involvement from leaders at all levels are crucial. This new journey will not always be smooth. We will face significant challenges, risks, obstacles, and contradictions, and officials must possess a strong sense of responsibility.
It highlights that the readiness of officials to take responsibility and act is not only a political virtue but also a fundamental duty of governance. Officials cannot remain in their positions without taking action, seize power without assuming responsibility, or gain fame without making contributions.
