The epicenter was located at 33.63°N latitude and 72.46°E longitude, at a depth of 10 kilometers, according to seismological reports.

The tremor originated in northern Pakistan, with seismic waves rippling across the border and shaking buildings in several areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
