Kawasaki India has officially introduced the 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT Edition, priced at ₹7.27 lakh (ex-showroom). This latest variant of the middleweight sportbike brings a race-inspired aesthetic from the Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT), offering striking visuals without compromising the proven performance and tech under the hood.

Performance: Same Engine, Refined Experience
At the heart of the Ninja 650 KRT Edition lies the 649 cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine. The powerplant continues to produce a healthy 67.3 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 65.76 Nm of peak torque at 6,700 rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox that integrates a slipper and assist clutch for smoother downshifts and reduced rider fatigue.
Riders will benefit from three selectable riding modes, allowing adaptation to different road and weather conditions.
Features: Smart Tech Meets Rider Safety
The KRT Edition comes loaded with a 4.3-inch full-color TFT display, offering Bluetooth connectivity for mobile integration via Kawasaki’s Rideology app. In terms of visibility and safety, the motorcycle features all-LED lighting and an advanced dual-channel ABS system.
It also debuts Kawasaki’s Traction Control System (KTRC) with two distinct modes:
-
Mode 1: Optimized for performance and minimal interference, ideal for cornering.
-
Mode 2: More intrusive, designed for low-traction scenarios like wet or slippery surfaces.
-
Riders can disable KTRC for a fully manual experience if desired.
Hardware: Trellis Frame and Precision Handling
Built on a high-tensile trellis frame, the Ninja 650 ensures agility and durability. It uses:
-
41 mm telescopic front forks
-
Horizontal back-link monoshock at the rear
-
Twin 300 mm front discs with dual-piston calipers
-
Single 220 mm rear petal disc with a single-piston caliper
This setup delivers confident braking and a balanced ride across varied conditions.
Design and Colours: Race-Inspired Aesthetic
The highlight of the KRT Edition is its exclusive race-replica livery, inspired by the Kawasaki Racing Team’s WSBK machines. While global markets receive additional colorways like Candy Steel Furnace Orange/Metallic Spark Black and Metallic Matte Old School Green, these are currently not available in India.
Verdict
The 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT Edition offers Indian riders a performance-packed sportbike with premium electronics, safety tech, and a dynamic visual appeal. While it carries a slight premium over the standard variant, the updates make it an appealing package for both weekend riders and daily commuters looking to stand out.
