Operations at Dharuhera, Gurugram, Haridwar, and Neemrana Paused Until April 19
New Delhi – Hero MotoCorp, India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, announced on Thursday that it will suspend production at four of its manufacturing plants from April 17 to April 19, 2025, in a strategic move aimed at short-term supply alignment. The affected plants include Dharuhera, Gurugram, Haridwar, and Neemrana.
In an official statement, the company clarified that the brief production pause is a planned initiative to carry out maintenance, upkeep, and facility enhancements, ensuring optimized operational efficiency.
Uninterrupted Operations at Tirupati and Halol Plants
While four plants will be temporarily inactive, Hero MotoCorp confirmed that its Tirupati and Halol facilities will continue normal operations during this period. Production is scheduled to resume across all units on April 21, 2025.
No Impact on Market Supply or Retail Demand
Addressing concerns over supply disruption, the company assured that the temporary production deferment will not affect its ability to meet retail demand, both in domestic and international markets. Hero MotoCorp emphasized that any shortfall in output will be recovered efficiently in the following month.
Market Position and Production Capacity
Hero MotoCorp remains the market leader in India’s two-wheeler segment, having sold over 54 lakh units last year. The company’s combined installed annual production capacity stands at approximately 9 million units, reinforcing its capability to navigate short-term production pauses without long-term disruption.
Stock Market Reaction
Following the announcement, Hero MotoCorp shares dipped by 2.46% to trade at ₹3,689.35 apiece on the BSE, reflecting a cautious market response to the temporary production halt.
