Tonk, April 30: Naresh Meena, leader of the Bhagat Singh Sena (BSS) and a former candidate in the Devli-Uniyara assembly by-election, has made headlines again for his bold actions. Late Wednesday night, he staged a protest inside the Ghada police station after a young man injured in a road accident did not receive timely medical assistance.
The incident occurred around 9 PM when Meena was returning from a wedding in Muglana village, located in the Duni area. He noticed a crowd and a seriously injured young man just 40-50 meters from the police station.
The victim, identified as Bhagchand Mistry from Duni, was thrown off his motorcycle after colliding with a bull. According to reports, villagers immediately informed the police about the accident, but no vehicle was provided to transport the injured man to the hospital.
Seeing the victim’s deteriorating condition, Meena quickly removed his turban and wrapped it around the young man’s head to stop the bleeding. Frustrated with the police’s inaction, he and his supporters began their protest inside the station, demanding immediate action.
After no response from the police, Meena contacted the District Superintendent of Police (SP) to report the situation. Recognizing the urgency, the SP ordered immediate assistance. Within ten minutes, police arranged transportation to take the injured man to Duni Hospital.
Following the arrival of medical aid and the administration’s prompt action, Meena ended his protest. He issued a warning to the police, stating that such negligence towards public safety would not be tolerated. This incident has sparked discussions about the police’s operational effectiveness and emergency response protocols in the area.
