
Ajmer, May 1: A controversy has erupted in Ajmer following an offensive comment made on social media about the Chief Minister of Delhi. The police summoned the accused, Piyush Surana, for questioning at the Ganj police station, where a commotion ensued.
Ink Throwing Incident at Police Station
During the questioning, a female BJP leader threw ink at the accused. Other women present also voiced their grievances against him. In response, the accused remarked, “You did well, sister.”
Dispute Originating from Social Media Post
Reports indicate that the offensive comment about Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was made from the accused’s Facebook account. The post came to the police’s attention following a complaint from a BJP leader.
Political Affiliations Under Scrutiny
Piyush Surana is reportedly linked to the IT cell of the Congress party; however, the district president of Congress clarified that he does not hold any official position within the party.
Complaints Filed by Both Parties
Following the incident, Piyush Surana’s younger brother, Shreyansh Surana, also lodged a complaint against the female party official at the Ganj police station.
