The IMD bulletin released Monday highlights that from April 21 to 25, central India is expected to witness persistent heatwave conditions. Similarly, from April 22 to 26, southern parts of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Punjab may experience scorching temperatures accompanied by hot and dry winds.

For Delhi-NCR, temperatures have remained steadily high, with the maximum reaching between 38°C to 40°C and the minimum hovering around 25°C to 26°C — significantly above seasonal averages. Isolated thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds ranging from 30-50 km/h are expected in Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Kerala, and Mahe.
