ISLAMABAD, April 22, 2025 — A tragic road accident in Pakistan’s Sindh province claimed the lives of at least 16 people, while 24 others were injured when a passenger bus veered off the road and fell into a gorge near the Jamshoro district early Monday morning.

According to local law enforcement, the incident occurred near the Bola Khan police station. The vehicle was reportedly transporting Bhils, a marginalized tribal community, who were returning home after completing wheat harvesting work in Balochistan.

Rescue and Hospital Response

As per a report from The News International, Deputy Commissioner Ganjanfar Qadri confirmed that the bus accident resulted in 16 fatalities, including four children. Twelve bodies were recovered at the crash site, while four more succumbed to injuries at Liaquat University Hospital in Jamshoro.

Emergency teams rushed to the location for rescue and relief operations. Five of the injured have been shifted to Civil Hospital in Hyderabad, while another five are receiving treatment at the Taluka Hospital in Bola Khan. One of the injured is reported to be in critical condition.
