Punjab Weather Update: Thunderstorm and Lightning Alert for May 10–11, Temperatures Dip Below Normal

Amritsar, May 9, 2025 The INDIA Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a two-day spell of thunderstorms and lightning for Punjab starting May 10, triggered by an approaching Western Disturbance. Though no official alerts have been issued for today, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy and cool across most parts of the state.

Temperatures Drop Below Seasonal Average

On Wednesday, average maximum temperatures dropped by 1.6°C, with several regions recording 3 to 4°C below-normal temperatures.
