Dharamshala, February 28: Central Minister Kiren Rijiju has reacted to the acquittal of Arvind Kejriwal, the National Convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, and party leader Manish Sisodia in the alleged liquor scam linked to a CBI Case. He stated that if a decision is made incorrectly, higher courts exist to rectify it.
During his visit to Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh, Rijiju addressed the media regarding Kejriwal and Sisodia. He remarked, “This is a standard procedure. If there is an error in the lower court’s decision, the case can be taken to a higher court for correction. If a wrong decision is made or if the facts are not thoroughly examined, an appeal can be filed in a higher court, where a correct decision can be reached.”
Additionally, Rijiju commented on the Youth Congress’s protest at the AI Summit. He mentioned, “I do not have much information about the matter, but I have been informed that there is a conspiracy behind it, with some connections involved. However, since I am not currently handling the Home Ministry, I have not been provided with complete details on this issue.” He emphasized that whatever the case may be, it should be resolved.
Regarding his visit to Himachal Pradesh, Rijiju expressed his fondness for the mountainous state, stating, “Himachal is a beautiful hilly state, and I enjoy coming here. I frequently visit. This time, there are some projects in the Chamba site area related to my ministry. Work is ongoing to advance those projects.”
He further elaborated, “Previously, I visited Lahaul-Spiti, where several projects are also underway from my ministry. Currently, I will be visiting Chamba and then returning to Delhi.”
