
Jaipur, April 1: A significant administrative reshuffle took place late last night in Rajasthan. The Bhajanlal government transferred 65 IAS officers, including collectors from 25 districts. Additionally, the Chief Minister’s secretary and special secretary were also changed.
This decision is viewed as a move towards administrative efficiency and effective implementation of government schemes. For several days, high-level discussions were ongoing within the government regarding the transfer list. Following the approval of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the personnel department released the transfer list late at night.
According to the list, Jitendra Kumar Soni, who previously served as the collector of Jaipur, has been appointed as the Chief Minister’s secretary. He has also been given additional responsibilities as the secretary of the Information and Public Relations Department. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister’s special secretary, Sandesh Nayak, has been appointed as the new collector of Jaipur. Utsav Kaushal and Amit Sharma have been appointed as joint secretaries to the Chief Minister.
Tina Dabi has been transferred from Barmer to the position of collector in Tonk. Ashish Modi will now serve as the new collector in Sikar. Mukul Sharma has been transferred from Sikar to the position of special secretary to the Chief Minister. After nearly a year and a half, Sikar has received a new collector.
New Responsibilities Assigned to Officers
Dr. Jogaram has been appointed as the secretary and commissioner of the Panchayati Raj Department and director of the National Health Mission. Rajan Vishal has been appointed as the director of the Jal Jeevan Mission in Jaipur. Jitendra Kumar Soni will serve as secretary to the Chief Minister and the Information and Public Relations Department. Kanhaiya Lal Swami has been appointed as the divisional commissioner of Jodhpur.
Other notable appointments include Shivanji Swarnkar as special secretary in the Finance Department and CEO of the Public Financial Management Training Society, Omprakash Kasera as commissioner of the Jaipur Municipal Corporation, and Namit Mehta as commissioner of the Excise Department in Udaipur.
