Jaipur, April 29: The political landscape in Rajasthan continues to buzz with discussions surrounding Sachin Pilot. Following controversial remarks made by BJP state in-charge Radhamohan Das Agrawal and a rebuttal from former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, BJP state president Madan Rathore has openly praised Pilot.
Rathore described Sachin Pilot as a gentle, simple, and commendable leader, stating that he has never engaged in loose talk about anyone. He criticized Congress, claiming that its members are distancing themselves from Pilot. Rathore referenced Gehlot’s recent comment that “Pilot has both legs in Congress,” questioning whether Pilot’s mind is elsewhere and suggesting that Congress is creating its own obstacles.
On speculation regarding Pilot’s potential shift to the BJP, Rathore emphasized that the decision should be made by Pilot himself. He noted that no one is influenced merely by attraction, but Pilot’s respect within Congress appears to be diminishing.
Rathore further remarked on Gehlot’s public admission of past mistakes, questioning if Gehlot views Pilot as a child, and accused Gehlot of seizing every opportunity to belittle Pilot.
He asserted that the BJP does not need to play any role in this matter. “Pilot is sensible and will make decisions based on the country’s circumstances. He should determine his own future,” Rathore stated. He added that the BJP respects anyone who demonstrates a commitment to the nation and embodies national character.
Addressing Agrawal’s earlier comments, Rathore clarified that Agrawal, hailing from Uttar Pradesh, likely made a joke about someone from his region being present in Rajasthan. He insisted there was no intention to insult Pilot.
Rathore concluded by emphasizing the importance of maintaining decorum in politics, stating that past derogatory remarks about Pilot, such as calling him useless, can leave lasting scars. His statements have intensified discussions about Sachin Pilot‘s role in Rajasthan’s political arena.
