Alwar Sports Festival Summer Camp Launched, Emphasizing Girls Participation and Skill Development

Alwar, June 6: Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, alongside Union Minister Bhupender Yadav, inaugurated the Alwar Sports Festival Summer Camp on Saturday. During the event, she highlighted the importance of sports, skill development, and increasing participation of girls in athletics.

In her address, Diya Kumari stated that sports are not just a means of physical fitness; they also foster discipline, leadership, self-confidence, and teamwork. She emphasized that sports provide youth with positive direction and prepare them to face life’s challenges.

Kumari noted that events like the Alwar Sports Festival offer a platform for young athletes to showcase their talents. Such programs inspire players to advance and ensure their active participation in nation-building.

She specifically called for more opportunities for girls in sports, asserting that there is no lack of talent among them. The need is to provide them with the right platforms and opportunities.

The Deputy Chief Minister also stressed the significance of skill development for youth, stating that it has become a crucial necessity in today’s changing times. The state government is working through various schemes to provide better employment and self-employment opportunities for young people.

Kumari mentioned the tourism potential of Alwar district, noting its rich natural and historical heritage. The state government is continuously striving to develop new opportunities in tourism. She praised initiatives like the Alwar Tiger Marathon, which promote both tourism and wildlife conservation.

When asked about her favorite sports, Diya Kumari shared that she has enjoyed playing badminton, basketball, and kabaddi since childhood. She urged youth to regularly participate in sports activities, advocating for sports to become a part of their lifestyle for better health and personal development.

The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Union Minister Bhupender Yadav, local representatives, and notable citizens. Among those present were RPS Group CEO Manish Rao, Viratnagar MLA Kuldeep Dhankhar, Bansur MLA Devi Singh Shekhawat, Ramgarh MLA Sukhwant Singh, District Chief Balbir Singh, former MLA Jairam Jatav, BJP Alwar South District President Ashok Gupta, BJP Alwar North District President Mahasingh Chaudhary, Adhoc Committee Chair Mohit Yadav, Dairy Chairman Nitin Sangwan, V-Shakti Trust President Pragya Yadav, athletes, coaches, and school staff.
