Mumbai, July 4: The political landscape in Rajasthan is buzzing with activity following the central leadership of the BJP summoning several state ministers to Delhi. This move has sparked discussions about potential cabinet expansions, ministerial performance, and organizational feedback.
Reports indicate that the BJP leadership is gathering insights on the functioning of the state government, the performance of ministers, and departmental progress. There are also talks about possible cabinet reshuffles, with ministers being questioned about their work and any complaints against them.
In recent days, visits to Delhi by Agriculture Minister Dr. Kirori Lal Meena, Education Minister Madan Dilawar, and Medical Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar have intensified these discussions. However, the ministers claim their trips are related to official programs. Additionally, around 20 BJP legislators have traveled to Delhi to express their sentiments to the central leadership. There is speculation about a significant cabinet reshuffle in the near future.
The involvement of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who has held detailed discussions with some ministers, suggests that changes in Rajasthan’s political scenario are increasingly likely. The central leadership is reportedly concerned about the ministers’ performance and their interactions with legislators.
Dr. Kirori Lal Meena highlighted his participation in the Developed India Village Scheme program, attended by Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Meanwhile, Education Minister Madan Dilawar mentioned his attendance at a national workshop. Medical Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar also recently met with Amit Shah, further fueling political discussions following Dr. Meena’s meeting with Shah last Friday.
Political circles suggest that the central leadership is seeking feedback from ministers regarding their departments’ progress, implementation of schemes, public relations, and coordination with the organization. Critics at the local level argue that ministers with more complaints are being called to Delhi first. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding this matter.
For nearly a year, discussions about cabinet expansion in Rajasthan have been ongoing, but no formal announcements have been made yet. The BJP’s central leadership has a history of summoning state ministers and leaders for feedback, making the current meetings appear as part of an organizational review and governance assessment process.
Currently, the Delhi visits by Rajasthan’s ministers have sparked new discussions in the state’s political arena. In the coming days, it will become clear whether this effort is merely a routine feedback process or a significant indication of cabinet expansion and political reshuffling.
