
Jaipur, October 3: Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma announced significant initiatives at the ‘Women’s Power Conference and Dialogue’ held at University Commerce College. He emphasized that empowered women are the foundation of family, society, and nation-building. The goal is to make Rajasthan self-reliant and economically capable through women’s participation.
During the event, the Chief Minister interacted with beneficiaries of various schemes, visited a Rajivika exhibition, and learned about products from women self-help groups.
Over 27,000 Beneficiaries to Receive ₹150 Crore
The Chief Minister handed over keys to beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) during the program. According to the state government, over 27,000 beneficiaries will receive more than ₹150 crore through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Additionally, ₹8.79 crore was transferred to 29,222 beneficiaries under the Chief Minister’s Maternal Nutrition Scheme.

3,274 Lakshmi Didis to Receive ₹25 Crore in Loans
The Chief Minister also benefited 3,274 women under the Lakshmi Didis Loan Scheme with loans totaling ₹25 crore. He announced that 2,823 self-help groups would receive ₹93 crore in loans, and 3,300 groups would be provided ₹25 crore for livelihood promotion. Keys to scooters were also distributed to the Lakshmi Didis.
Launch of 60 Ambulances, 9 Water Towers, and 185 Auto Tippers
During the event, the Chief Minister flagged off 60 ambulances, 9 articulating water towers, and 185 auto tippers under the National Health Mission.
Highlighting Women-Centric Initiatives
In his address, Bhajanlal Sharma announced an increase in the Prime Minister’s Maternal Vandan Yojana from ₹5,000 to ₹6,500. He also mentioned various initiatives such as the Mother Voucher Scheme, LPG subsidy, distribution of bicycles and scooters to schoolgirls, single women pension, and the Lado Incentive Scheme.
The Chief Minister stated that over 26 lakh women have been trained under the Lakshmi Didis scheme, with approximately 20 lakh women classified as Lakshmi Didis by the state government.
‘Developed Rajasthan Through Women’s Participation’
The Chief Minister asserted that women’s commitment, hard work, and collective strength will play a crucial role in Rajasthan’s economic development. He linked this to the vision of a developed India and Rajasthan by 2047.
He referenced various initiatives aimed at women’s empowerment, including the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme, Ujjwala, Swachh Bharat, Jal Jeevan Mission, Mudra Scheme, and Lakshmi Didis.
Women from Across the State Joined via Video Conference
The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Baid, Panchayati Raj Minister Ota Ram Devasi, MP Manju Sharma, and senior officials. Women from various districts participated in the program through video conferencing, including Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Bhagirath Chaudhary and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel.
