Udaipur, March 2: Accessibility for disabled individuals at the Urban Development Office in Udaipur has come under scrutiny. Despite having a lift, the absence of a ramp has made it difficult for those with disabilities to access the facility.
Dinesh Jatav, a member of the Disabled Rights Struggle Justice Forum, faced significant challenges while trying to meet with officials. He arrived with his family to discuss his concerns on the third floor but was unable to reach the lift due to the stairs. Consequently, he had to leave without meeting anyone.
Jatav expressed frustration, stating, “If accessibility is lacking in a government office, how can we expect facilities to be available throughout the city?” The lack of a ramp at the Urban Development Office is hindering disabled individuals from engaging with officials effectively.
