Thiruvananthapuram, May 14:
The Congress party has officially announced VD Satheesan as Kerala’s new Chief Minister, ten days after the state assembly election results. The 61-year-old Satheesan, who has been an active member of the party and represents the Paravur constituency, is set to lead the state government.
In a press conference held on Thursday, Congress leader Deepa Dasmunshi revealed the decision regarding the Chief Minister position. The final agreement was reached during a crucial party meeting on May 7 in Thiruvananthapuram, attended by party president Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and other senior leaders.
