New Delhi: In a welcome move for fuel-conscious buyers, Bajaj Auto has officially slashed prices for its much-talked-about Freedom 125 CNG bike. As petrol prices continue to climb, demand for more affordable and efficient alternatives like CNG motorcycles has been surging — and Bajaj’s Freedom 125 is leading that charge.

Now, prospective buyers can grab this innovative bike at a lower starting price, following Bajaj Auto’s latest pricing update aimed at boosting sales and attracting budget-conscious commuters.
How Much Cheaper is the Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG?
Bajaj Auto has announced a price cut of up to ₹5,000 on the entry-level Freedom 125 NG04 Drum variant. After this reduction, the starting price now stands at just ₹85,597 (ex-showroom).
It’s important to note that prices for the other two variants remain unchanged:
-
Freedom 125 NG04 Drum LED – ₹95,981
-
Freedom 125 NG04 Disc LED – ₹1.11 lakh
The company hopes this price cut will spur greater interest in the base variant, which has seen relatively slow sales in recent months.
Why the Price Cut Now?
Sales figures for the Freedom 125 CNG reveal that the bike moved just 993 units in April 2025, following 1,394 units sold in March 2025. For a category with massive potential — and rising interest in fuel-efficient alternatives — Bajaj is looking to spark demand and improve these numbers through more competitive pricing.
What Powers the Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG?
Under the hood, the Freedom 125 CNG is equipped with a 125cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, generating 9.5 bhp of maximum power and 9.7 Nm of peak torque.
The bike comes with a 2-litre petrol tank and a CNG capacity that allows it to deliver an impressive mileage of 100 km/kg on CNG and 65 km/l on petrol. This dual-fuel option makes it an extremely cost-effective choice for everyday riders looking to beat rising fuel costs.
A Smart Pick for Fuel-Savvy Riders
With this latest price cut, Bajaj’s Freedom 125 CNG presents an even stronger value proposition for Indian commuters. Its unique dual-fuel capability, strong mileage, and now more affordable pricing make it an attractive option in the commuter motorcycle segment — especially at a time when CNG infrastructure is rapidly expanding across major Indian cities.
