Jaipur, June 27: BJP state president Madan Rathore has come to the defense of Agriculture Minister Dr. Kirorilal Meena, asserting that there is no doubt about his integrity. Rathore stated that questions regarding Meena’s honesty should not arise, especially following the Anti-Corruption Bureau’s (ACB) actions within the agriculture department. He emphasized that no allegations can be levied against the minister.
During a media interaction at the Agricultural Research Center in Durgapura, Rathore remarked that Meena has been raised with strong values, and it is inappropriate to question his loyalty. He insisted that discussions regarding any investigation or action should be based on facts, and raising doubts about someone’s integrity without evidence is unjust.
Rathore also targeted Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra’s family, suggesting that if they were not eligible for OBC reservation benefits, a fair investigation should be conducted. He stressed the importance of thoroughly examining eligibility and regulations surrounding sensitive issues like reservations.
He stated that no individual or family should gain benefits against the rules. If any irregularities are found, they should be investigated, and appropriate action should follow. Rathore affirmed that the BJP government operates on principles of transparency and accountability.
In response to former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot‘s statements, Rathore accused Congress leaders of competing against each other. He alleged that Gehlot makes statements to please national leadership while attempting to gain political advantage.
Rathore claimed that Congress leaders lack the courage to speak the truth. He pointed out that they tend to make political accusations but avoid discussing facts. The BJP state president asserted that the Congress party is experiencing internal confusion and a leadership crisis, prompting its leaders to make baseless allegations to create a narrative.
Following the ACB’s actions in the agriculture department, political rhetoric has intensified in the state. Congress has raised questions about the government and Minister Kirorilal Meena, while the BJP has defended the minister’s integrity and countered Congress’s claims.
Rathore’s statements have once again positioned this issue at the center of political accusations between the BJP and Congress. While the BJP expresses trust in Meena’s integrity, Congress links the matter to government accountability.
Currently, the political debate surrounding the ACB’s actions in the agriculture department and allegations against the Dotasra family continues.
