BJP to Face Consequences for Comments on Gehlot, Claims Pawan Khera

Jaipur, November 5: Pawan Khera, the head of the Congress media and publicity department, stated that the comments made by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma regarding former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will backfire on the BJP. Khera made these remarks during a Congress press conference.

In a sharp attack on Gehlot, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, on November 3 in Jodhpur, claimed that Gehlot once ran a fertilizer and seed shop and exploited farmers. He referred to himself as the son of a farmer while labeling Gehlot as the “son of a magician.”

In response, Gehlot challenged Sharma to present evidence for his allegations within 24 hours or apologize. He also reiterated his demand for a CBI investigation into the villa case involving IAS officer Shikhar Agarwal. Opposition leader Tikaram Julie countered by recalling that Sharma’s bail was revoked in 2003 while Gehlot had served as a Member of Parliament five times and a Union Minister three times.

Following these exchanges, Gehlot criticized the BJP’s “Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy” marches, stating that the country is witnessing a “ruling opposition” for the first time. As part of this campaign, both the Chief Minister and Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav are set to participate in a march in Jaipur on Thursday.
